I have experience working with individuals with a range of concerns, including challenges with mood, eating disorders, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorders, effects of discrimination, trauma, faith transitions, and neurodivergence.

Philosophical Orientation:

My approach to therapy is largely informed by Feminist Multicultural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and the Common Factors Model of counseling. I consider the holistic needs of each person when considering my approaches, and work to establish a collaborative relationship centering client autonomy, empowerment, and wellbeing. I believe when people are met with radical empathy and acceptance, healing can take root. Within this relationship of empathy, I hope to witness and bring recognition to the holistic impacts of environments and systems on individuals, and collaboratively co-create empowerment and increased wellbeing for those I am privileged to work with.

Get to Know Carina:

I grew up in the heat of Southern Utah, and I feel a deep connection with nature and living beings. I work hard to nurture and foster community, and find deep joy in my connections. I have a dog and cat who mean the world to me, about 100+ plants, and a table with ever-present paints and creative endeavors.
